Luke Doucet and Melissa McLelland at George's Roadhouse in Sackville, New Brunswick

So I was able to see Luke Doucet and Melissa McLelland at George's. I need to be studying for all of my exams starting next week so unfortunately this will be a shorter post. Next year, however, as the Entertainment Writer for the Argosy, Mount Allison's Independent Student Newspaper, I will be writing full-length entertainment stories weekly of the year. I'll be sure to share the article here for your convenience.

For now all I have time to say it that it was an amazing performance, and that I'm impressed with the live music scene in Sackville. I knew that it was a stop for many Canadian indie acts traveling between Halifax and Moncton/Saint John, but it has been impressive this year especially for such a small town. I don't have time to put together a list now, but after exams I'll be writing a few end of the year posts and I'll list my favourite acts then.

If you want more more information on indie music in Sackville, the phonetic elephant, who has a program on the student radio station CHMA 106.9FM (and judging from the sheer volume of posts and his concert schedule has very little time for non-music related activities) can provide you with a year's worth of opinion. So if you want a more complete look at the Sackville live music scene you should look at his music blog.

Without further adu, Luke Doucet and Melissa McLelland at George's Roadhouse in Sackville, New Brunswick:
